Luciano is one of the five members of Banda Makala, a percussion group from Brazil. A major problem in his community is drug use and trafficking.

“We want to keep young people away from drugs and improve their lives. This will be achieved by promoting percussion workshops, dance, theatre and circus activities and courses.  By learning a new skill young people will build their self-esteem.”
