Progress Moyo

Labour and Employment - Zimbabwe (South Africa)

Progress Moyo is from Zimbabwe and attended OIYP2004. Since then he has mobilised an association of young entrepreneurs to face the challenges being faced by local youth in finding a job after school. This is caused by economic hardships in Zimbabwe causing many employers to either scale down their activities or close down. Progress has also been working with the International Young Professionals Foundation and has been helping with website maintenance of the One People Peace Campaign as well as the African Youth Parliament.

Progress also works with the logistics department of the UN World Food Program, and is involved with recording songs with musicians whose music is concerned with promoting peace and development in Africa. Progress would like to mobilize more volunteers to help entrepreneurial youth get a start, as well initiating a building project for Rural Secondary Schools which will benefit underprivileged youth.
