Otto Saki

Human Rights - Zimbabwe (South Africa)

Otto Saki from Zimbabwe attended IYP2004 and has been involved in human rights training and litigation in Zimbabwe. He has also been involved in regional courts such as the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights. As well as these litigation processes Otto also uses training that focuses on the practical application and use of international and regional human rights instruments. Otto is also involved in lobby and advocate initiatives calling on countries to assist in the implementation of human rights treaties and maintaining of such standards.

Otto's future plans involve using outreach programs to target grassroots communities, train and sensitise them to human rights issues for awareness and documentation of human rights violations. The programs will include public meetings, theatre drama on human rights issues and recording statements from individuals.
