Sangeeta is working closely together with the Cooney Island Avenue Project. Her Action Plan aims to mobilize young coloured Americans for the anti-war effort.

“We aim to bring young people of colour into the anti-war movement in the U.S. by triggering discussions and dialogue about the effects of U.S. spending on war policy on their lives. “

Sangeeta aims to visit urban schools and conduct workshops that will encourage young people to raise their voice.

Apart from that, Sangeeta is campaigning against the PATRIOT Act which has legally legitimised racial profiling by US authorities. Many communities have been devastated due to minor visa infractions leading to thousands of individuals being detained. Sangeeta aims to document stories of as many immigrants as possible in order to raise public awareness through the media.
